Perseverance: Continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition: the action or condition or an instance of persevering: Steadfastness.

My name is Jerry Jackson and I am a mortgage loan officer with East Coast Mortgage Lenders, Inc. I want to work with you but more importantly, you will want to work with me and here is why.

Perseverance is a character trait I inherited from my grandfather. Perseverance is never giving up until you either attain your goal or you exhaust all possible options. Perseverance is what it takes to be successful in the mortgage industry today.

I started working as a mortgage loan officer inside a credit union in West Palm Beach in 1997. In 2000, I opened my own mortgage brokerage business. I owned and operated a very successful mortgage brokerage business until the real estate market crashed in 2008. Perseverance is what has helped me continue to be involved in the mortgage industry.
Over the last several years there have been a lot of changes in the mortgage industry, most of which make it difficult for even well qualified borrowers to get their loans closed. Again, this is where perseverance makes the difference. I have been successful at getting loans closed that were previously denied by other banks and lending institutions.

Another big advantage with working with me is having access to multiple lenders. Each lender has its own way of underwriting mortgage loans and what one lender will not allow, another lender may. I have access to many different lenders which allows me to send your loan to a different lender if we run into a problem. If you work with a bank or lending institution, they only have one underwriting department and their decision is final. If they say no, your loan is denied and that’s it. When you work with me, if there is a way to get your loan closed, I will find it.

I grew up in Montana and I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a small Bible college in Minnesota. I was sick of winter and so I married my college sweetheart and we moved to Palm City, Florida in 1987. It was a good move! Martin County, Florida is one of the greatest places in the world to live and we have no plans to leave. I love to fish, scuba dive, water ski, even golf once in a while and I can do it all here year round. This is also a great place to raise a family. Martin County has high rated schools, many good churches, nice parks, great beaches & the Atlantic Ocean! What more could you want?

I have a wife, 3 daughters and a dog. The dog is pretty easy, but the wife and daughters are pretty expensive!
